Barry Keohane
Top of Mind Media and Entertainment is a media consultancy company based in Australia. We provide "hands on" consultancy services to radio and other media companies throughout the Asia/Pacific region, and pride ourselves in providing creative, strategic and cost effective content and revenue solutions for your business.
Top of Mind Media and Entertainment is owned and operated by award winning Australian Content Director, media consultant, and talent coach, Barry Keohane. With over 20 years global experience in commercial and public radio operations, management consultancy and training, Barry has been involved with content development and talent coaching for leading media companies, including Southern Cross Austereo (Australia), the Australian Radio Network, Click Radio (Thailand), Astro Overseas Limited (Adrep China), and most recently the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Barry is also a regular lecturer at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, teaching students in content, management and leadership.
Barry specialises in developing strategies for media organisations, music programming and research, client solutions, content development, new media, and talent coaching. In 2005, Barry received an Australian Commercial Radio Award for work on content development and production. He has coached some of Australia’s leading radio talent, developing extensive talent coaching and mentoring skills. Barry also has extensive experience in Asia, returning from China in 2015 where 3 years he was General Manager of Content for 10 radio stations. Barry was instrumental in launching new stations to millions of people, developing strategies for revenue growth, and coaching staff on content development. He led stations in key markets to top 5 in audience ratings
Barry has numerous formal qualifications, including a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In 2018, Barry finished his MBA focussing on strategic management, organisational change and international business. He's also received training in facilitation and is a regular guest speaker at media conferences including RadioAsia (www.abu.org.my). He is a licensed pilot, accredited cricket umpire and a member of Australian Mensa.
