Top of Mind Media and Entertainment is a media consultancy company based in Australia, providing "hands on" consultancy, training and coaching services to radio and radio professionals throughout the Asia/Pacific region, priding ourselves in providing creative, strategic and cost effective content and revenue solutions for your business.
Top of Mind Media and Entertainment is owned and operated by me, Barry Keohane. I'm an award winning Content Director, media consultant, trainer, and talent coach, with over 20 years global experience. I'm unique in that I've worked in both commercial and public radio operations, management consultancy and training. I've been involved with content development and talent coaching for leading media companies, including Southern Cross Austereo (Australia), the Australian Radio Network, Click Radio (Thailand), Astro Overseas Limited (Adrep China), and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. I'm also Head Lecturer at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School, teaching students in content, management and leadership.
I specialise in developing strategies for media organisations, music programming and research, client solutions, content development, new media, and talent coaching. In 2005, I received an Australian Commercial Radio Award for work on content development and production. I've coached some of Australia’s leading radio talent, developing extensive talent coaching and mentoring skills. I have extensive experience in Asia, returning from China in 2015 where for 3 years I was General Manager of Content for 10 radio stations. I was instrumental in launching new stations to millions of people, developing strategies for revenue growth, and coaching staff on content development. I've led stations in key markets to top 5 in audience ratings
I have numerous formal qualifications, including a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In 2018, I finished my MBA focussing on strategic management, organisational change and international business. I'm currently studying my Diploma of Leadership Coaching and have also received training in facilitation, plus I'm a regular guest speaker at media conferences including RadioAsia (www.abu.org.my). I'm a licensed pilot, accredited cricket umpire and a member of Australian Mensa.
